Back in the 90's every month I would buy a selection of Nintendo mags, one of them being Nintendo Magazine System, the official UK Nintendo monthly mag. This is the first part, History of Nintendo, pretty neat.

Where did 2010 go?

It's been a long time since I bothered with this blog. I'm thinking about adding new content, still not sure. Just not enough hours in the day and should I bother wasting time on a blog!?

Whiskey

I recently came to the conclusion that as a 32 year old male I should be able to drink whiskey, all the tough guys in movies do it. So saturday evenings have been devoted to Whiskey training, it's good stuff. Personally I find it best downing it as shots, tastes too bad to drink it in a long drink. I do really enjoy the kind of drunk I get from it. My view on Whiskey, so far so good.



Ghetto Vodka Martini, "Ghetto Bond" that's me. Cheap rip-off Martini with bog standard Vodka, of course shaken not stirred. The Vermouth is so sweet you can not taste the Vodka at all, this shit gets you smashed. Try it.

Super Street Fighter 4

One game I've been playing far to much and wasting too much spare time on is Super Street Fighter 4 for PS3, this game is so awesome. The online mode is too addictive, great new character and stages, plus new ultra moves. New characters even include Cody from Final Fight, he even has his knife, which is waiting for you to pick and slash your opponent. Which by the way is far too much fun. I like to use cool moves and combos to then picking up the knife and slash like mad, feels so satisfying winning using the knife. I have to play SF with the arcade stick, pads are a thumb breaker and in my opinion slower. The Namco stick I use is an old PS1 stick with the help of a PS1/2 to PS3 usb adapter, the stick is now 14 years old and still going strong. Just wish the game wasn't so addictive.

Bayonetta

Recently got the platinum trophy on Bayonetta for PS3. This game is well wicked, complete Devil May Cry rip-off but even better. It's so Capcom and Sega at the same time, even has a Space Harrier level, which is awesome. All of your enemies are Angels and creatures sent from Heaven, just so you can slash, shoot and blast them into bloody pieces. As for the last boss you have to kick-in "The Creator" make of it what you will, I think it's great.

Final Fight Double Impact

A little while back I got Final Fight Double Impact from the PSN store. Final Fight is awesome, it also comes with another old game Magic Sword, to be honest I could care less about Magic Sword and would probably have prefered it if it was only Final Fight. Back to Final Fight, it's so 80's, violent, simple and fun. I really like how grimey and gritty it all is, you can pick up a dirty knife from the street and hack at violent women dressed as crazy 80's American whores, heck you can even pummel then with hefty pipes and slash at them with swords and if that fails just got at them with fists and feet. Not just the women but everyone in the game, even the 2nd player. Great game and you can also play 2p online. A few things which are bullshit with this version are: there is no button config so when I play using my arcade stick I have the use an awkward button layout. Also some of the unlockables are fan art, I fucking hate fan art most of the time, it's so bullshit and is on my actual proper Capcom game, once again I fucking hate fan art when used in an actual game, it pissed me off. Guess I never have to look at it tho. The different screen setting are real good, the emulated CRT monitor effect looks great. Final Fight itself is wicked. I know the last Final Fight pic I posted is from the GBA FinalFightOne game, but it's a cool pic.

Kelloggs Japan

Found this also when moving, had to scan it. It's the back from a Kelloggs cereal box, I brought it back from Japan during the time I lived there. Japanese packaging is so cool, the amount of crap I brought just cuz it looked so nice.

Just like the Contra3 Jigasaw, these things are like 17+ years old and came free with Mean Machines magazine, found them when moving, so I scanned em. Look how old and shit but good they are. They bring back memories, good and bad.

It's been ages since I've blogged. Just been either lazy or doing other stuff, I do tend to start things at times, I then get a little bored and don't bother with it and or come back to it time to time. I also cycle through phases with my intrests and hobbies. So I'm gonna post some new shit today, I might keep it up on a regular basis or I might just post a load of shit at one time leave it for a while etc. Not sure I'll see how it goes. I would like to use the blog as a kinda diary, but I'd also like to do loads of other stuff and never bother. So yea I'll see how it goes.

Tekken 6

My friends PS3 broke, so while it's down I've borrowed Tekken 6 from him. Thought it should be some relatively easy PS3 trophies to get. I do like everything about Tekken6 except the way it plays, much prefer Street Fighter style of fighter myself. Still Tekken6 is a good game and I can see why a lot of people really like it. I started playing it sunday 18.04.10 and then today 21.04.10 I got the platinum trophy meaning I have all the trophies in the game. I have been at work and also chores so played it for about 20 hours at most, also a funny thing is I'm really shit at the game. I'm sure a lot of hardcore fans don't care about the trophies and really enjoy just playing it. As for me, now I have the platinum trophy I'm never going to play it again.

Sinus

It's been over a week since I blogged, I had a head ache from sunday 18.04.10 untill I woke up this morning 21.04.10. It was shit, I took paracetamol the first two days and it didn't help, so yesterday I took the Tesco sinus duel relief capsules. They worked a treat, well sorted me head out. Been going to work the whole time, so yesterday on the tekies sinus caps I felt a little out my tree, did make a couple of fuck ups while I was at work and they kinda hit me when I came down late last night. But no worries, went in this morning and sorted it out like flies on shit, wicked!

Emerge stim drink

Emerge stimulation drink, think I'm gonna feature all the different Red Bull clone stim drink I consume. Back to Emerge, tastes really nice, better than Best-in stim drink and cheaper by the can. Better than Best-in not quite as good as Kick, still wicked tho.

How to: get bollocked by Sony

Ok so here is how to get bollocked when playing PlayStation Home. First stand about chatting with your mate.


Then look around at the scenery.


Then go downstairs and try out the action commands within the game itself, let's try out this Boo command, just so happened some beyatch is standing in my way!............. Ooooppps! Sorry!


And then have the person who was standing in the way of your Boo command report you to Sony, then via e-mail you will receive something like this.

MegaMan10 PlayStation Home

From playing MegaMan10 I unlocked some T-Shirts for use in PlayStation Home. This one here features a Bass, the front of the T basically says I love Bass "know what I mean". Pretty crazy.

MegaMan 10

This weekend I played through MegaMan 10 on PlayStation3, it's old school and wicked, even has an easy mode if you want to pidgeon it, just like I did. That's right I pidged out and played it on easy, it was rad. The intro sucks a little, a bit too long for an 8-bit intro. But the game itself is great, really good levels and boss'. One thing I really like is the ability to save between Dr.Wily levels, great!

Chores around the house

One thing I find is, when I have chores to be done, such as washing my clothes, washing up and other small chores in and around the house. I always think I'll do it later "I can't be bothered right now", when I do get round to doing them they each take like 10 minutes. I then go on to think: why didn't I do that yesterday or earlier, it only took ten minutes. The following week it's the same story all over again, why do I not ever learn or adjust my thinking and get stuff done there and then. I could make it even more efficient and less of a rush on sundays. I will try again next weekend.

Tekies

Tesco 9pm on a saturday, that's right I've got nothing better to do. No really it is a good time to go, quiet and relaxing. Tesco at the wrong time of day can be a massive stress-fest.

Best-in Stim drink

This drink is again a Red Bull clone. Kick tastes better but this is still yummy and cheaper than Kx, great if you are on a budget.

Cool shit

I'm down with all kind of childish shit, a bit of apathy is probably good for me.

Contra 3 jigsaw

Check this out a Contra 3 jigsaw that came free with a game mag (Mean Machines) around 17+ years ago. I found it when I was moving last year and it's unopened.
